Fall 2009 - All the solo shows I have done since moving to Chicago in '03 have lead me to competing in the 'Chicago Blues Challenge' (Solo/Duo category), sponsored by the 'Windy City Blues Society' www.windycityblues.org .  The first round took place in October and I was fortunate enough to place in the top 3.  Thus I advanced to the finals, to be held at 'Buddy Guy's Legends' on Sunday November 15.  The winners from that night will represent Chicago at the 'International Blues Challenge' in Memphis in February.

In other news I have four songs mixed, mastered and ready for my next CD, with the rest of the songs tracked and almost ready for mixing.  Recording has been taking place at 'Joyride Studios' in Chicago, with veteran engineer Blaise Barton (Little Ed, Magic Slim, Michael Burks etc.).  I am naturally biased, but the songs sound great and I can't wait to get the whole things finished up!

Fall 2008 - Well, it had to happen, after so many years in the business and so many great shows I finally have something to show for it,...literally.  We have a professionally shot video of my Chicago big band's performance at the Green Dolphin St. club right here in the windy city!  You can check it out on youtube. http://youtube.com/watch?v=6-nnpfzGkaA

Currently I am at work on the recording of my next CD. Being an independent artist, it is taking a bit of time.  But it will be worth the wait!

Late Summer 2008 - Hi folks, I hope all is well.  The summer was fine indeed.  I just got back to Chicago; I was on a three week tour of the west coast of BC.  Prior to that I was in my ol' hometown of Saskatoon, performing at Buds during the Jazz Festival.  It was great to see a bunch of my old friends again and make some new ones.  Keep on lovin' the blues!

European Tour May 2006
In May we finally got the opportunity to tour Europe.  I hadn't been there since I was a young lad.  We had a marvelous time, perfoming all over Belgium, Holland and Germay at both festival and club dates.  We had heard that Europeans have a special love for the blues and we were not disappointed.  Very special thanks to all festival promoters, volunteers, radio DJs, club owners/staff and folks who went out of their way to help us get down the road a bit more smoothly.  Also a warm hello to all the new friends we made and the fans, some of whom stood in the pouring rain to hear us play.
Cheers to the blues, Nigel

The Road 2004-05

The past year has turned out one of the best ever for Nigel Mack & the Blues Attack. In June 2004 the band performed at the world renowned Chicago Blues Festival for the third time, a feat unmatched thus far by any other Canadian blues artist.

This high-energy act has kept up a grueling tour schedule in support of two critically acclaimed CDs, 'Road Rage' and High Price To Play  Nigel & the band performed engagements from Vancouver to Chicago, and way down south to Key West Florida.

Since 2003 Nigel has been headquartered in the center of the blues world, Chicago, IL. The previously Vancouver-based artist has toured North America sixteen times (logging over half a million miles) and headlined many of North America's top blues venues, including Buddy Guy's Legend's in Chicago and the 2000 Blues Club of the year, Bourbon Street Blues, in Nashville, Tennessee, with many more return engagements to come.

As those who have seen this band live will tell you, Nigel Mack & the Blues Attack are sure to keep you coming back for more!
